Cake Jewelry
Here is another popular type of cake jewelry, however, I don’t have a lot of interest in doing this kind. In the other site I linked to in the last post, the Hummingbird set or the Morning Prayer set are the kind of things I’m going to try to tackle.

Who would have thought?!?
My pal, Philissa just told me that the newest thing in wedding cakes is cake jewelry. I am now inspired to make some. And just think: there can be bride’s, bridesmaids’, mothers of the bride and groom jewelry to match! So everyone will have a memento of the occasion that they can cherish afterwards! What a fabulous idea!! Anyone who knows Philissa knows that she makes the most beautiful custom cakes. (She made my daughter’s wedding cake – that’s it in the photo.) She and I have been plotting to have a booth together in an upcoming bridal show here in the St. Louis area. Now we know the tie-in! Cake, cake jewelry and coordinating wedding party jewelry! I’m getting psyched! Hey, Roshini, do you need some cake jewelry for your wedding in November???

Can you believe this?
Why didn’t we think of this? Probably because it’s so stupid we couldn’t imaging anyone buying it. (thanks, Dave Barry!)

Wire & PMC, a great combination!
Here’s another fantastic book that I own:
Woven Wire Jewelry: Contemporary Designs and Creative Techniques Including PMC Techniques (Beadwork How-To Series)
If you are already a wire-wrapper, you’ll want to explore the possibilities for combining it with custom PMC components. The results can be spectacular. I highly recommend this book for anyone who uses PMC or works with wire.
